PhiBrows is a manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing that creates extremely fine natural looking hair strokes mimicking the natural direction and lengths of your brows. Microblading may be used to improve or create eyebrow definition, to cover gaps of lost hair, to extend the eyebrows, or may be used as a full reconstruction if the brows have little/no hair.
Firstly the shape of the eyebrows is calculated according to the golden intersection (phi 1.618) and face morphology then finally determined digitally. A pigment is then chosen to match the natural hair or eyebrows’ colour. This is then passed into the channels created by the micro blades on the surface layer of the dermis. Colour can be extremely dark during the first 5 to 7 days, 7 days later it loses 40% to 50% of its intensity. Your new eyebrows will be fully healed after 28 days and this is when we perform an obligatory addition of the pigment that has been lost as we expect between 10 and 15% of drawn strokes to disappear after the first treatment. After this, the average expected time until new colour refreshment is needed is between 6 and 18 months. This time can depend on varying factors including skin type, age, lifestyle, skin routine, sun exposure and post treatment care.
A £50.00 deposit is required to secure your appointment, this will be deducted from your total treatment cost. The deposit is fully refundable should you need to cancel and we are given at least 24 hours notice. Our 24 hour cancellation policy must be adhered to with all microblading appointments.
*If any amendments are requested from the original brow shape or brow colour this may be charged at the full initial treatment price. A pre-topup consultation is required.
If you decide to go ahead with the treatment it is very important that you are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or on any antibiotics or acne tablets. If you suffer from any serious illness or are taking any medication please ensure to let us know at time of booking. It is vital to not consume any caffeine or alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment.
Firstly, always ensure your hands are completely clean before caring for your eyebrows. One hour after the treatment rinse the eyebrows with warm water ensuring not to stretch the skin. Circle gently on the eyebrows until clean skin is felt under the fingertips, removing all the lymph and previously applied cream. Follow with another very thin layer of your complimentary PhiShield balm and repeat this procedure 3 to 5 times during the day.
In the next 7-14 days, maintain good facial hygiene and apply the Phishield balm after washing your face or having a shower. Phishield can be used on all skin types, due to its natural active components that regulate oiling but should always be applied sparingly.
Avoid unnecessary touching of the eyebrows, all creams (except for Phishield), all make-up (especially foundation) in the eyebrow area. Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating, saunas, facial massage and steaming.
Sunbathing, Sunbeds, Light Therapies, Chemical Peels, Fruit Acids, Microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors.
Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to a faster pigment fading, always protect the eyebrows from the sun with SPF’s (Not during the first 7 days).
